My homage to Philadelphia
After growing up in the Philadelphia suburbs and being a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, I wanted to design a jersey as a nod to the birthplace of this great nation. I drew inspiration from the Sixers jersey incorporating the stars and script font. I used a high-resolution photo of city hall to trace in Adobe Illustrator. I thought aligning the stars with the William Penn statue atop city hall was a nice touch. On the back, you can see the skyline with faint icons that represent the art museum and sports stadiums followed by the Love Park sign in the foreground. Overall, I think this is my favorite jersey design thus far, and it was a lot of fun to design.

My homage to beer
For this jersey, I drew inspiration from beer brands and cans for the logo. The diamond pattern was taken from Oktoberfest celebrations in Germany. The marker font was supposed to convey a laidback, casual competition being a tournament on sand and at the beach. The jersey felt pretty empty with only the logo, name, and number, so I added small decoration pieces with the state of jersey outline and the “Beer in one hand, Disc in the other” verbiage. After the design, I coordinated with our chosen jersey producer to perfect the print process and get the order processed quickly.
